Reservations and deposits
A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required to reserve a vehicle. For proms the deposit ranges from $250 to $500 depending on the vehicle; for all other services it is 35% of the total.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, checks, money orders and cash.
Payment of the balance
The balance is due by the service date.
- Weddings and proms: personal checks must be received 21 days before the event; cash, money order or certified cashier’s check is accepted on the day at the first pickup location. Credit cards are not accepted for the final balance on weddings or proms.
- All other services: personal checks 21 days before service, or cash, money order or certified cashier’s check on the day. Tell us in advance if you plan to pay the balance by credit card.
- Overtime is charged in one-hour increments and paid directly to the chauffeur in cash before the vehicle goes into overtime.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be sent in writing, signed by the person who made the reservation, by email to [email protected], no later than:
- Weddings: 30 days before the service date
- Proms: 14 days before the service date
- All other services: 10 days before the service date
A reservations agent will confirm the cancellation. Within these time frames there is no further penalty beyond the forfeited deposit and any payments made. After them, the remaining balance is due. Deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Changes to a reservation
Please check that pickup dates, times, locations, vehicles and billing details are correct. Reserved vehicles cannot be downgraded or removed, and the booked length of service cannot be shortened.
Changes can be made only by the person who booked and are limited to pickup times, locations, destinations, adding or upgrading vehicles, and overtime. All changes must be finalized 72 hours before the service date. Written changes without our written agreement are not valid.
Delays
Traffic, road conditions, severe weather and other events beyond our control can delay travel. We make every effort to arrive on time; if a delay occurs, the drop-off time is extended by the length of the delay. If we decide conditions are too dangerous to operate, we will tell you, end the service and refund all payments within two weeks.
Insurance
Every contracted vehicle is insured to the maximum liability amount mandated by the State of California, currently $5,000,000.
On-board rules, damage and fees
Chauffeurs inspect each vehicle before, during and after every rental.
- No smoking or eating in any vehicle.
- Narcotics or controlled substances are prohibited and end the service immediately.
- Damage (cleaning, breakage, burns, interior or exterior) is charged at the actual cost of repair or replacement, with a $200 minimum. If a vehicle must be taken out of service, lost revenue is charged at 80% of the normal hourly rate.
- Glassware: $15 per glass cracked, broken or missing.
- Clean-up: $100 for excessive spills or trash; at least $200 if anyone is sick in or on the vehicle. Your chauffeur will gladly pull over if someone feels unwell.
The chauffeur may end the trip without refund if the rules are not followed or the vehicle or chauffeur is put at risk.
General
Except for willful misconduct or gross negligence by the company, its agents or employees, the company is not liable for injury, loss or damage, or for personal property left, lost or damaged in a vehicle. In the event of a breakdown, every effort will be made to send a replacement vehicle.
Your signed reservation contract contains the complete terms and governs your booking.
